Can't GIVE any less than one star or I would...

Enjoy the ride. Going out of business will be so awesome. It's a TRUCK STOP. Been a truck stop for DECADES.

Breakfast now only 'til 11. No substitutions (tomatoes for potatoes? Nope. That's too bad your a diabetic...). Then the waitress complained about having I HEAR our dissatisfaction (2 other tables of drivers chimed right in their agreement about breakfast hours and hard seats... No booths anymore...)

To her credit she DID pass it along to the manager who says "Love's only does breakfast until 10" Um, that's because Loves has only FAST FOOD. He follows with "It's a Bar and Grill now, they're just going to have to get USED to it...". At which point we walked.

Been coming on/off an on for years. First experience post remodel was NOT good. Decided to give them another chance... It was a mistake. It's a crying shame, it USED to be a great little place...

Well geez, I guess it's been longer than I thought since was last here. 6 months? So didn't know about the restaurant renovation. Well OK it looks real nice. But didn't like that they changed the location of the counter which now a bar. No more booths. The new menu has been severely shortened. Meaning much less options. Just your basic hum drum. OK so the food is still decent and the service as well. But because of all the changes there is no friendly down home vibe anymore. I think next go rolling thru might just go ahead and tryout that Betty's place down at exit 74. This place may have seen the last of me.

I love a good truck stop with it's own restaurant and I really wanted to like the meal. Can't find tenderloins where I live so whenever I can get one I'm excited. Tonight it wasn't to be. Portion was huge, but the meat was tough. And there wasn't any breading to speak of so I'm not sure what was going on. Couldn't eat the tater tots. I think their grease might need changing. Iced tea was thick and cloudy. Green beans were ok even if they did come out of a can.

Couldn't be tempted with dessert. I saw the pies on the way in and they all looked sad.

Ate here Friday night November 17, 2017, about 6pm. Not very crowded even though parking lot was full. Special was All you can eat Catfish for Eleven 99. I ordered chicken strips entree for nine dollars which came with a potato and another side. I chose baked potato and a trip to the salad bar. Boyfriend chose the fish with french fries and the salad bar. The salad bar was very good. You are given one of those larger bowls with sides. There are 3 choices of lettuces, 2 kinds of cheese, potato salad, coleslaw, pea salad, puddings, cottage cheese, pasta salads and all the fixings. I should have just ate one trip salad bar for 5 dollars, but didn't know the size of the bowl and didn't want to spend Ten dollars for all you could eat.

I would definately stop there again if we came through this way. I don't normally eat Fish, but even I would have ate that fish. Not fishy. The place is not the prettiest or stylist, but sure did a good job tonight. Maybe we just got a good combination of employees and timed it right, but experience was good. (Side note- bathrooms were ok too, remember this is attached to a truck stop. Also there is bar and tattoo parlor upstairs but didnt go to either one)

Tell the chef the "grits after 2 pm" freak sent ya. The ladies and gent here are so nice and make a weary traveller feel welcome. :)
You've gotta try the blackberry cobbler! Im working my way down the pie list.
The place is clean - kind of unusual for a non-chain diner. The decor is cute country but they stopped the "cute" prior to your needing an airline sickness bag. Cracker Barrel wishes they looked like this.
Good home cooking comfort type food.

Tons of rig parking, a boot and antique stores nearby and a motel for your food coma.

Update: 12/26/14 Just had a reuben and onion rings and they were the BEST onion rings I've ever had anywhere. Period. I was told Mike cooked them. Give that man a raise!!

Strawberry cobbler to go. To go box tucked in a little bag under my arm. My precious. My preeeeeecious.

      Breakfast of champions!!
Key lime pie to go. This was wonderful. I held each bite in my mouth a while so I could taste it longer.

Just ate breakfast here. I was the first customer of the day. Got the Denver Omelette with hash browns, sour dough toast and coffee. The price was very reasonable for the amount of food you get. Waitress was real nice and made sure I was taken care of. I've eaten here before but the service has improved somewhat.

Definitely not my favorite spot, but on a truck you don't always have a choice. Easy parking, employees are lacking
