Great beers, cozy atmosphere and the outdoor patio is awesome!!! Hidden Gem in downtown Como.

This place has a great vibe and is super chill and that is how it pulled a 3. I spent 7 years in Germany and nothing about this place speaks anywhere we have ever been in Europe. I'm sure the food is good but it is definitely not German. We drank a modello because the had no German beers.
Despite all those facts the waitresses were awesome and we enjoyed ourselves.

Günter Hans has a limited menu of food but more than a dozen great beers and a full bar. On a weeknight, it was not at all busy and I found a comfortable booth that had a power outlet. A great opportunity to catch up on some Yelp reviews (I am so far behind, tonight's reviews were from West Virginia sites!).

I chose the "signature" calzone which seems like a strange thing in a German-style beer bar but it came out about 15 minutes later and it was delicious. Inside, hot and stuffed with their mettwurst and mozzarella. I'm not sure why the dipping marinara sauce was cold but it was still enjoyable.

A couple of beers later and I was ready to end my day. This was a good stop!

Small menu but what they have on the menu is great! Nice backyard patio was quite a treat!

Ok I feel like I have to disclose that I used to work here, so I might be biased, but I love this place!!!! Such a good spot to grab drinks, a small bite to eat, or bring your parents if they are in town visiting. They also have a beautiful patio & huge back room that makes Gunter Hans the perfect place for various types of events. I rented out the patio & barrel room for my graduation last year & it was perfect.

I just went back for the first time in a while & it was just as good as I remember. They have the softest pretzels and best small plates including waffles and calzones too. The boursin cheese & a pretzel is a must if you come here - soooo good!!! I know from a experience they hand make & roll the dough every morning before opening. Everything is super fresh and high quality.

They also always have great seasonal cocktails. Tonight I tried the apple cider margarita and salted caramel apple martini. Both were super good & something I feel like I couldn't find anywhere else. In additional to cocktails, the beer they have on tap is always rotating so it's fun to come in regularly to try the new kegs they get in -- don't get too attached to anything they have because it will probably be gone the next time you go. I think this is so fun though, you can never get sick of their menu.

Another great thing is they have different events regularly. Thursday is normally trivia & Saturday is always bottomless mimosas. Check out their Instagram for updates, they're very good about posting what's going on that day or week.

Lastly, they have the best staff ever!!!! Super friendly and helpful people. I love this place so much!

I could not be more satisfied with this place! Beautiful atmosphere! Creative drinks! Delicious waffles and cheese board! Been wanting to go here for years. It did not disappoint! Service was great! Our server was super chill and matched the atmosphere! Made our experience great!

Great location. They had good drink options. The food menu was very limited, more like appetizers. The staff were friendly and we had a good time.

What a great choice to visit this place on Saturday. It was a beautiful day to sit outside on their courtyard patio. We each had bretzels and we shared a beer flight. The beer flight was fun because we got to try different kinds of beer. Each beer flight comes with four kinds of your choice. We also had a dessert bretzel that came with amazing cinnamon butter! Also, I love the atmosphere! I highly recommend this restaurant/bar and plan on returning!

Bottomless mimosas for $15 pp simply can't be beat. Friendly staff, beautiful patio and atmosphere is . Tasty pearl sugar waffles are the perfect pairing. Definitely coming back. Service was prompt and adequate. Nothin to complain about
