Policies and Procedures for Class: Your textbook with answer sheet will be shipped after we process your registration and payment. Bring a valid photo ID, with signature; a No. 2 pencil; and your textbook with answer sheet. We strongly recommend that you review the textbook and take the practice exam before class. If you require an accommodation under the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA), please call or email MRA prior to submitting your registration to ensure that we can accommodate you for the exam. How To Request Exam Accommodations. Class will begin promptly at 9:00 am and will conclude by 5:00 pm. Please plan to arrive at 8:30 am. If you arrive more than 30 minutes late, you will not be allowed to enter or take the class. You will need to call the MRA office (314) 576-2777 to reschedule. If you cancel or do not attend the class, there can be NO REFUND. A $30 fee will be charged to reschedule a missed class or exam if rescheduled within 90 days. After 90 days, the fee will be $90 and an additional textbook will not be provided. If you forget your textbook, and need to purchase another, the price is $75.
NOT ALLOWED: Bags/purses, books, papers, pagers, cell phones, and any electronic device that can be used to capture/record exam content. If an examinee brings any of these items to the exam location, the items will be collected prior to the examination and placed in a secure location to prohibit their use during testing. Items will be inaccessible even if the examinee needs to temporarily leave the exam location (e.g. restroom breaks). A minimum score of 75% is required to pass the exam and receive your Food Safety Certificate. The ServSafe Manager exam consists of 90 questions. Exam results for the paper exam can be viewed online at www.servsafe.com ten days after your exam. You can download and print your certificate or follow the online instructions to have it sent to you. Retest Policy: Failing the exam is the only legitimate reason to retest. An examinee may take the exam twice within a 30-day period. If three or more attempts are required, the examinee must wait at least 60 days from their last attempt. No more than four attempts are allowed in a 12-month period. Example: 1st attempt, June 1; 2nd attempt, June 2; 3rd attempt, August 2, 4th attempt, October 2. The retest fee is $50. If you lose your textbook, and need to purchase another, the price is $50. Call the MRA office immediately if you need to retest (314) 576-2777.
